Senior Front-end Engineer

GRIDSZ

Telco network management platform. Micro-frontend architecture, 30% faster data views, and secure SSO gateway.

Problem

GRIDSZ is a telco network management platform used for large rollout operations across the Netherlands and beyond. Multiple frontend modules needed to evolve independently, but the existing build and deployment workflow made changes expensive to ship. High-volume network data screens also needed to stay responsive under real operational load, and secure SSO had to work cleanly across micro-apps.

What I did

I led the micro-frontend architecture rollout in an Nx monorepo so teams could own modules with clearer shared boundaries and affected-project builds. I restructured the build workflow to improve cache usage and cut unnecessary CI work. On the product side, I optimized large-data rollout views with caching strategies and Angular virtual scrolling. Quality gates moved into GitHub Actions with Cypress E2E and Jest unit tests. I also refactored the authentication gateway to SolidJS + Vite and integrated secure SSO with Firebase Authentication and Google Cloud IAP. Alongside delivery, I mentored junior engineers on RxJS and NgRx through structured reviews.

Outcome

  • Reduced deployment lead time by 40% after the Nx monorepo and build optimization.
  • Reduced key page load time by 30% on large network rollout views.
  • Lowered production regressions through test automation and CI quality gates.
